This project was such a "Hoot" to work on.

So I will save you from all the "fowl" puns and instead "tweet" you to this cute project I've been working on this past week. Tammy, from Lil' Lambs Boutique, sent me the cutest line of paper, called Lullaby of Birdland, by Scribble Scrabble. I knew as soon as I opened it up that I wanted to make a card set. The Card Holder is made, using the Card Couture template by Lauren Meader, from PaperTrey Ink. A friend of mine has been making the cutest things using Lauren's templates and I had to try one. I think I might be hooked.

This project makes an excellent Birthday, Christmas or just Thinking of You gift, from anywhere between $5-$10, depending on the type of paper and embellies you choose. The templates are easy to use and once purchased can be used again and again. I recommend buying a collection of paper; then you don't have to worry about matching papers. The whole card set will naturally flow together. And most paper kits will still have plenty of paper leftover to create a few more projects.

Below are close ups of the individual cards. I used some of the scraps to dress up the envelopes. If you haven't tried it, it's pretty easy. Take the back edge of an exacto knife and carefully slide it along the sides of the envelope to carfully separate the glued sections. After separating the folds, add accent papers to the inside edges and back flap. Another alternative is to add an inside liner instead. Glue the separated flap back into place and now you have cute coordinating envelopes.

Thanks for taking a look. And remember, Christmas is just around the corner. Start your gift making now.
